Whether your hair is naturally dry or gets dry due to the changes in the weather, here are few handy hints to help you out of hair hassles. We know that besides the climate, the air-conditioned environment around us also strip our tresses of natural oils. While we may not be able to fight the climate, but we can through these simple steps retain our hair health.
- Dryness in our hair shows more at the ends than at the roots in the form of split ends and rough stringy tips. So get a trim every six to eight weeks. Not only does this rid you of split ends but also make your tresses appear more neat.
- Be regular with your conditioner. Shampoos strip oil from our strands along with grime. So seal in moisture in the cuticle by using an appropriate conditioner regularly. Pay special attention to the ends and smooth in more at the ends. If you blow-dry your hair everyday or use styling tools then use a leave-in-conditioner or smoothing serum to protect the strands form the heat.
- Go for deep conditioning therapy. Hair experts recommend massaging oil on the scalp and hair at least an hour before shampooing. But if you are hard pressed for time, then apply hot oil to your hair at least twice a week before going to bed and wash off in the morning. Also go for a weekly conditioning therapy mask that rebuild and strengthen strands.
