Ethnic ChicAnarkali Is Back

We don’t mean Salim’s Anarkali from Mughal-e-Azam. It’s her costume in the movie that has inspired the Kurti and Kameez cuts this season. Flared, and panelled kameez in crinkled cotton is a hot trend this season. Pick one up in a paisley or floral print, and pair with tights for a modern twist to a very old look. The silhouette is flattering for almost every body type.

For a trendy touch pick Anarkali kurta that has empire line bust with panels falling in A-line from there rather than kurta’s where panels start at the waist. The more the number of panels the better it is. The colours that are hot include magenta, yellow, blue and blue grey blend. Fabrics that give this cut the best fall include soft cotton, crepe, and cotton silk blend. You should be able to swish around in it.
